Cheese and Cava
A private day at an artisan dairy between mountains
Artisanal cheese among the mountains
Nestled among mountains, nature, and absolute tranquility, you'll experience a day designed to delight all five senses. We'll visit an authentic artisanal cheese factory where passion, tradition, and excellence come together to create some of the most highly regarded goat cheeses in haute cuisine.
The farm: meeting the herd before the cheese
The day starts where real cheese starts: with the goats. You visit the family farm, learn how the herd is cared for as it roams freely across the Montseny's pastures, and understand why the quality of the milk, and the cheese that comes from it, depends as much on the land as on the hands that work it.
The dairy: from milking to ageing
From the farm you move on to the workshop, where you see the full artisan process up close: curdling the milk, hand-shaping the curds, and the ageing rooms where the cheese matures to the exact point of each variety, from the freshest to the most cured. It's the quiet work almost no one gets to see and the one that explains why artisan cheese never tastes like the industrial kind.
The guided tasting: cheese and cava
The day closes with a guided tasting through the house's cheeses, from the mildest to the most intense, paired with cava, letting the contrast between the cheese's creaminess and the bubbles do the rest. A day designed to be enjoyed with all five senses.

Who it's for
Works just as well as a couple's getaway as it does for a small group of friends or family and thanks to its unhurried pace and natural setting, it's also a very different alternative to the usual corporate outing: a day out of the office, surrounded by nature, with something real to learn and share.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a tour with other people?
No. It's a private experience just for your group, with a private guide throughout the day. That's why we can adapt it to your pace.
I've never done a cheese tasting before, is there anything I need to know?
Nothing. The tasting is designed to be enjoyed, not analyzed. The affineur will guide you from the mildest to the most intense cheeses and explain how to pair them with cava.
Can I buy cheese there to take home?
Yes, and we recommend it. You can buy the cheeses you liked best directly from the cheese shop. Bring a small cooler if you're driving back in the summer.
Is this suitable if I have a lactose intolerance, am vegetarian, or there are children?
The cheeses are made with artisanal goat's milk. If you have any intolerances, allergies, or are vegetarian, please let us know when booking and we'll check with the cheese factory to adapt the tasting. Children are welcome; they usually love the goat cheese part.
